TheylivedinavillagenamedHaworth,whichwasinthenorthofEngland.Theirfather,PatricBronte,wasarectorofthepoorvillage.Hehadalovelywife,fivedaughtersandason.Thoughtheywerepoor,theylivedahappylife.Unfortunately,hiswifediedfromalungdisease,whichboughtmuchsadnesstothebigfamily.There’snouseofcrying,sotheyhadtoreceivethemiserablefact.Theeldestgirl,Maria,offeredtoshouldertheresponsibilitytotakecareofthefamily.SheusuallyreadbookstohersistersandtheonlyboyBranwell.Besides,theirfatherwouldliketotalkaboutbooksandnews.Underhisinfluence,theybecameinterestedinreadingandwriting.
