Goodmodelingpracticerequiresthatthemodelerprovidesanevaluationoftheconfidenceinthemodel.Thisrequires,first,aquantificationoftheuncertaintyinanymodelresults(uncertaintyanalysis);andsecond,anevaluationofhowmucheachinputiscontributingtotheoutputuncertainty.Sensitivityanalysisaddressesthesecondoftheseissues(althoughuncertaintyanalysisisusuallyanecessaryprecursor),performingtheroleoforderingbyimportancethestrengthandrelevanceoftheinputsindeterminingthevariationintheoutput.[1]
