Differentpeoplehavevariousopinions.Somepoepleclaimthatteamworksurelybeatsworkingindividually;whileothersarguethatworkingbyoneselfisbetterthanworlinginagroup.Onbalance,Iwouldsaythatthereisnoeasyanswertothisrathercomplicatedissue.Whichoneismoreproductivedependsonthesituation.Inotherwords,sometimesitisgoodtoworkindividually;sometimesitiswisertojoinagroup.
Teamworkrequirescooperativeeffort,peoplearemoremotivatedandthereforemoreproductiveworkinginteamsthanworkingindividuallyascompetitors.Myviewisthatthisassertionistrueonlyinsomecases.

Onbalance,however,myviewisthatcooperationismorecrucialforanorganization'slong-termproductivitythanindividualcompetition.Eveninjobswhereindividualcompetitivenessispart-and-parcelofthejob,theimportanceofcooperationshouldnotbeunderestimated.Competitionamongsalespeoplecanquicklygrowintojealousy,backstabbing,andunethicalbehaviorallofwhicharecounterproductive.Andeventhemostsuccessfulentrepreneurswouldnodoubtadmitthatwithoutthecooperativeeffortsoftheirsubordinates,partners,andcolleagues,theirpersonalvisionswouldneverbecomereality.
