地球上有丰富的资源,但是大多数都是不可再生的.我们每天都在使用和消耗这些资源.如：天然气、石油、煤炭等,这些都是短时间内无法恢复的有限资源.只有节约资源,才能使国家长久发展下去.中国是一个人口众多的国家,拥有世界上1/5的人口,但是资源却不是非常丰富,人均占有率不高,在世界上排名进不了前三十名.就拿石油来说,中国一半以上的石油都是依赖于从国外进口的,在最近几年许多有钱人还大量购买大排量汽车,这些汽车每百公里耗油量在10升以上,从而促使石油的需求量大幅提升.中国也是一个煤炭储量较高的国家.由于目前国内没有太多的风力、水力、核能和太阳能发电站,从而使火力发电的压力很大.开采的煤炭大多用于发电.造成2007-2008年中国煤炭价格不断攀升.每到夏天各大城市就会出现拉闸限电的现象.这不都是人们经常开空调却不知把温度调高1度的缘故.如果这样开10多个小时就可能多浪费0.5~1度电.像这些大量浪费资源、消耗资源的现象在生活中还有很多,资源是有限的、是不可再生的.因此,节约资源、减少能源消耗迫在眉睫.改进汽车使耗油量降低；将大排量汽车改为小巧的小排量微型轿车；公务员每周减少开车出行一天,减少汽车使用；武汉、重庆等地开始使用混合动力车,利用油改气从而使汽油的消耗量减少了一些.这些都是人们开始有了节约资源意识.节约资源,人人有责.我们每天节约一度电、少开一小时的空调、多坐公共汽车,少开车.这样可以节约资源又能减少日常支出.从一点一滴做起,从身边的小事做起.节约有限的资源,为我们和我们的后代作出的贡献将是无量的.
