　　CatherinefoundthattheemphasisonmathsandscienceinChinahadequippedherwellfortwoofher“A”levels----mathsandphysics.Tochallenge①herimagination,shechoseartasherthirdsubject.Shesaiditwasquiterewarding②andchallenging.

　　AlthoughCatherineleftalittle,lonelyatfirst,shesaidshewasverygratefulforthefriendlinessshowntoherbytheteachersatAldenham.

　　Catherinehasfoundtheinternationalmixofculturesveryrefreshing③.Aswellasmakingfriends,bothboysandgirlsfromanumberofcultures,CatherinefounditcomfortingtomeetotherChinesepupilsattheschool.

　　Thehousefacilities④includeaseparategirls'sittingroomandtheuseofakitchen,though,shesaidtheschoolfoodwasgood.

　　SheisahardworkingpupilandvaluestheopportunitytostudyinEngland.Shehopesherresultswillenableherparentstobeproudofherachievements.CatherineplanstostudyataleadinguniversityintheUKbeforereturningtoChinatowork.

　　Summinguphertimeattheschool,Catherinesaid,“IhavebeenveryhappyatAldenhamandIknowIwillneverforgettheexperience.IhavelearntagreatdealfromtheEnglishcultureandmyEnglishhasimprovedenormously⑤.Theschoolhasbeengoodatrecognizingtheneedsofforeignstudents.Forexample,wewentoutasacrowdlastweektocelebratetheChineseNewYear.Itwasgreat.”
