　　if与whether

　　它们都有“是否”的意思,引导宾语从句,通常可以互换使用.如Idon’tknowif/whetheritwillsnowtomorrow.但是,在下列情况下,只能用whether：

　　1后接ornot时.如Idon’tknowwhethertheywillcomeornot.或Idon’tknowwhetherornottheywillcome.

　　2后接不定式时.如Canyoutellmewhethertogoswimmingaftersupper?

　　3前面的动词是discuss(“讨论”)时.如Wediscussedwhetherweshouldclosetheshop.

　　4前面有介词时.如Iworryaboutwhetherhewillbeangrywithme.

　　5当表示强调,将宾语从句提前时.如WhetheritisrightIamnotsure.=Iamnotsurewhetheritisright.

　　6whether还可引导主语从句、表语从句和同位语从句,而if不可.如WhetherIcanpasstheexamisn’tclear.(主语从句)/MyquestioniswhethertheChineseteamcangofurther.(表语从句)/ThedecisionwhetherIbuythehouseishardtomake.(同位语从句)

　　3前面的动词是discuss(“讨论”)时。如Wediscussedwhetherweshouldclosetheshop.除了discuss外还有哪些
