　　Earlierthismonth,theEdinburghFringeFestival,thelargestshow-caseintheworldforperformanceart,officiallygotunderwaywiththeatre,dance,poetryandmusicpresentations.

　　Manyofthefringeartists,whocanenterthefringefestivaluponpaymentofasmallfee,wereinspiredthisyearbytheeventofSeptember11.

　　ThousandsofpeopleflocktoEdinburghfromaroundtheworldduringthefestival,whichisover50yearsold.Itaimstopromote（促进）andencourageartsandtoreflectinternationalculture.Itcomprises(consistsof)variousdance,music,opera,andtheatrepresentationtakingplaceacrossthecityduringthethree-weekrun.
