　　BornJohnChristopherDeppinOwensboro,Kentucky,onJune9,1963,JohnnyDeppwasraisedinFlorida.Hedroppedoutofschoolatage15inthehopesofbecomingarockmusician.HefrontedaseriesofgaragebandsincludingTheKids,whichonceopenedforIggyPop.DeppgotintoactingafteravisittoLosAngeles,California,withhisformerwife,LoriAnneAllison,whointroducedhimtoactorNicolasCage.HemadehisfilmdebutinANightmareonElmStreet(1984).In1987heshottostardomwhenhereplacedJeffYagherintheroleofundercovercopTommyHansoninthepopularTVseries"21JumpStreet"(1987).
