　　你曾经会到过你祖先生活工作学习玩耍过的地方吗?罗伯特~钱,一位加拿大华人已经完成了这件事.现在,他在中国已经发现他的家族像一颗高大的树木般有着深深的根（历史悠久,家谱上的老祖宗很早的意思）

　　RobertisjustoneyoungoverseasChinesewhohascometovisithisancestors'homeland,aspartoftheInSearchofRootssummercampprogram.TheprogramisorganizedbythelocalgovernmentofGuangdongProvince.Thisprogramstartedin1980,andsofarhasbroughtthousandsofoverseasChinesestudentstoChinatolookfortheirfamilies'roots.Theyoungpeopleareusuallybetween16and25yearsold.Most,likeRobert,canhardlyspeakanyChinese,andhaveneverbeentoChinabefore.

　　罗伯特仅仅是回来探访祖先的故乡的海外华人中的一位.作为寻根夏令营活动的一部份,这个活动由广东省当地政府组织.该活动始于1980年,到今天已经带领了数千名海外华人学生来中国寻找他们的家族根源.年轻学生经常是16到25岁之间,大部分学生,像罗伯特一样,几乎不会讲任何中文了,以前也从来没有来过中国.

　　ThestudentsmainlyvisitpartsofGuangdongProvinceinsouthernChina.Duringthetwo-weekcamp,theystudyChineseculture,seechangesthathavehappenedinthatarea,andvisitinterestingsights.Goingtotheirancestors'villageisoftenthemostexcitingpartofthetrip.Thestudentsfeelthattheyarepartofthevillage,andexperiencevillagelife.Theydrinkfromthevillagewell,goforwalksthroughthecountryside,andwatchthevillagersdotheirdailyactivities.

　　学生们主要参观位于华南的广东省的部分地区.在为期2周的旅途中,他们学习中国文化,参观这一地区发生的巨变,以及风景名胜.去他们祖先的村庄经常是旅途中最激动的部分.学生们感到他们是这个村庄的一部分,体验乡村生活.他们品尝村井中的水,穿越乡间,看到的是村民们的日常活动.
