Thestudywasconductedonline5-10MaybyInsightResearchGroup.Itsays80%ofparentsareconcernedaboutkidsmeetingbadpeopleonline.That’sbecauseyoungpeoplewholargelyhavegrownupwiththeNetthinkofitasasocialoutletsaytheresearchers.Toyoungpeoplethebenefitsofgivingoutsomepersonalinformationtoreachouttofriendsoutweightherisks.Andthestudyshowstheyaresocomfortablewiththemediumthat78%haveapersonalwebsiteorblog.
ParentsalsorecognizetheimportanceoftheInternet.Thesurveyshows91%thinktheNethelpstheirchildrenexploretheirpassionsand77%thinktheInternetisoneofthemostvaluableeducationtoolsteenshave.But88%thinkit’simportanttoknowwhattheirkidsaredoingonline.
