Todaymanygovernmentshavespecialdepartmentswhichprotectcustomersandworkers.IntheUSforexamplethereisadepartmentwhichtakeschargeofnewairplanesandgiveswarningsaboutpossibleproblems.Italsomakestherulesthataircraftproducersmustfollow.Anotherdepartmentcontrolsthefoodsanddrugsthatcompaniessell.Athirddepartmentlooksattheplaceswherepeopleworkandthenreportsanycompaniesthatarebreakingthelawswhichprotectthehealthandsafetyofworkers.Ofcoursenewgovernmentdepartmentsandnewlawscannotpreventeveryaccidentorillnessbuttheyarehavingsomegoodresults.Ourworkplacesaresaferandcleanerthanbefore.Theplanesandcarswhichweusefortravelarebetter.Producersarethinkingmoreaboutthesafetyandhealthofthepeoplewhobuyandusetheirproducts.
