　　（2）other意思是“另外的,其他的”,修饰复数名词.例如：

　　（3）theother通常指两个中的“另一个”.例如：Shehastwodaughters.Oneisateacher,theotherisadoctor.

　　（4）others泛指“另外的人或物”.例如：Somepeoplelikeswimming,andotherslikeboating.

　　（5）theothers特指某范围内的“其余全部的人或物”.例如：Therearefortybooksinthebox.Tenaremine,andtheothersaremyfather’s.
