Itwasearlyinthespringmorning.Thesunwasjustrisingoutoftheeasternhorizonemittingsteaksofredhuethroughthecloudsandacrossthesky.Soonthecampuswasbattledinthefirstraysofthesun.Thelakethetreesandthebambooslookedasiftheywereallgilded.Thegroundwascoveredwithtendergrassesandthebeadeddewdropsstoodontheirtipsandreflectedthesunshine.
Birdsflewaboutinthewoodstwitteringrestlessly.Someboystudentswhowereabsorbedinreadingleanedagainstthetreeswithbudspeepingoutfromwithinthegraybarks.AcoupleofgirlstudentsreadEnglishaloudwhilewalkingupanddownthegravelpatharoundthelakewhereasortofstreamroseformingathinmist.
Itwasreallyamorningofbeautyofvigorandofhope.
