　　AWolfhadbeengorgingonananimalhehadkilled,whensuddenlyasmallboneinthemeatstuckinhisthroatandhecouldnotswallowit.Hesoonfeltterriblepaininhisthroat,andranupanddowngroaningandgroaningandseekingforsomethingtorelievethepain.Hetriedtoinduceeveryonehemettoremovethebone.“Iwouldgiveanything,”saidhe,“ifyouwouldtakeitout.”AtlasttheCraneagreedtotry,andtoldtheWolftolieonhissideandopenhisjawsaswideashecould.ThentheCraneputitslongneckdowntheWolf'sthroat,andwithitsbeakloosenedthebone,tillatlastitgotitout.

　　“Willyoukindlygivemetherewardyoupromised?”saidtheCrane.TheWolfgrinnedandshowedhisteethandsaid:“Becontent.YouhaveputyourheadinsideaWolf'smouthandtakenitoutagaininsafety;thatoughttoberewardenoughforyou.”

　　狼和鹤

　　一只狼在吞咽刚杀掉的一只动物,忽然一块肉里的小骨头扎进了它的喉咙,吞不进去,吐不出来,疼得它上蹿下跳.狼呻吟着去找人减轻它的痛苦,它尝试劝诱每一个遇见的人帮它把骨头取出来,“如果有人能帮我取出骨头,我愿意给它任何东西.”最终有只鹤同意帮它,它让狼侧身躺着,将嘴尽量张大,然后把自己的长脖子伸入到狼的喉咙中,用嘴啄松了骨头,将它取了出来.

　　“请给我您承诺过的奖励吧”鹤说,狼龇着钢牙冷笑到,“你就知足吧,刚才你把头放进一只狼的嘴里,并且安然无恙的拿了出来,这对你已经是最大的奖励了.”

　　贪婪的人不懂得感恩.
