ThestoryiswrittenbyGeorgeOrwell,whoalsowroteaboutAnimalFarm,anotherstoryinwhichtwopartiesfoughtagainstoneanother.Someresemblancebetweenthetwostoriesisthatthattheyarebothaboutrevolution.Andbothtimestherevolutionsdidn’twork.Yettherearealsomanycontractingpointstoo,foreventhoughtheyareaboutrevolution,1984isonlyabouttwopeopleagainstoneParty,tryingtoworktheirwayintothepartythatwasagainsttheotherpartyagainstthefirst,whereasAnimalFarmisabouttwoentireparties.AnotherdifferenceisthatinAnimalFarmtherevolutionislikeacircle,aftertheanimalspushedthehumansaway,thepigscameandtookthepositionsameasthehumans,soithalfworked,butin1984therevolutionfailedcompletely.Idon’tlike1984aswellasIlikedAnimalFarm,for1984tellsmoreofthecrueltyofhumannature,andIdidn’texactlywanttoknowthatallthehugelumpystuffallaroundmehaveuglystuffintheirhearts(ok,IadmitIhaveittoo).Idon’texactlylikestorieshavinghorribleendingswhereboththemaincharactersbetrayeachotherandhavetheirmindsalteredintosomethingtheyneverwanted.NotthatI’maskingtobealteredtoo,butstillit’sunnerving.AnywaysinAnimalFarmitjustwasaboutapartydoingthisdoingthatandbeingtrickedbyofficers,likeinreallife.
