In1933whileEinsteinwasvisitingEnglandandtheUnitedStatestheNazigovernmentofGermanytookallhisthingsawayincludinghispositionandhiscitizenship.EinsteinthensettleddownintheUnitedStates.In1939Einsteinwholovedpeace-afraidofaworldinwhichonlyHitlerwouldhadanatomicbomb(原子弹)-triedhardtopersuadePresidentFranklinD.RooseveltinafamouslettertohavetheUnitedStatesstarturaniumresearch.ThatGermanyafterallhadnobombandthatthefirstbombwouldfallonJapancouldnothavebeenexpected.AfterthewarEinsteinneverstoppedworkingforpeaceandreducingthenumberofsoldiersintheworld.
