MyhometownisNanjing.Nanjing,withalonghistory,islocatedintheareaoftheYangtzeRiver’sdownstream.NanjingusedtobethecapitalofChinaintheWu,DongjindynastiesandtheSong,Qi,Liang,ChenofSoutherndynasties.SoCapitalofsixdynastiesisanothernameforNanjing.Notonlyinthesesixdynasties,atthebeginningofMingdynastyandtheRepublicofChina,NanjingwasalsothecapitalofChina.Itwon’tbeamazingthattherearelotsofbuildingswhichwerebuiltindifferentdynastiesinNanjing.ConfuciusTemple,PresidentialPalaceandDr.SunYat-sen'sMausoleumarethemostfamousandattractivesitesinNanjing.

　　ConfuciusTemple,attractingunnumberedvisitorseveryyear,wasoriginallyconstructedinSongdynasty.Atfirst,itwasaplacetoworshipandconsecrateConfucius,thegreatphilosopherandeducatorofancientChina.Andthen,intheMingandQingdynastiesitexpended,includingJiangnanGongyuan(theplaceofimperialexaminations)andtheXueGong(theimperialacademy).Everyexamineseason,studentsfromthesouthofChinagatheredinConfuciusTemple.Everyonewantedtogettostandoutthroughtheexamineandthentobeanimperialofficer.Atthattime,ConfuciusTemplewasaquitecrowedplace.In1937,ConfuciusTemplewasalmostdestroyedbyJapaneseaggressors.In1984,underthesupportofgovernment,ConfuciusTemplewasrebuilt.Today,theoldfunctionsofConfuciusTempledonotexist.Ithasbecomeaplaceconsistingaseriesoftouristshops,snackbars,restaurantsandteacafes.EveryonewhohaseverbeentoConfuciusTemplewillneverforgetthearchtecturewithdifferentstylesanddelicioussnackinit.

　　PresidentialPalacewasbuiltatthefirstofMingdynasty.Itwaseverbeingthepalaceoflordsandkings.InQingdynasty,PresidentialPalacewaseverbeingthepalaceofHongXiuquan,thekingofTaipingHeavenKingdomwhichoppsedtotheQingdynasty.AfterTaipingHeavenKingdomcametoitsend,QingdynastyrebuiltthePresidentialPalaceastheofficeforitsgorvenment.In1912SunYat-sen,oneofthegreatestleadersofmodernChina,announcedtobethetemporarypresidentofRepublicofChinaatthefrontofPresidentialPalace.From1912to1949,PresidentialPalacewastheplacewheretheleadersofRepublicofChinawerelivingandworking,justlikeWhiteHouseintheUSA.SincePeopleRepublicofChinawasfoundedin1949,PresidentialPalacehasbecomeamuseumwherelotsoffilmsaboutRepublicofChinaanditsleadersarestored.
