随着全球化浪潮的不断推进,中西方的交流也日益频繁.为达到预期交际的目的,人们就要考虑不同语言群体下所存在不同的面子问题.面子论,作为礼貌原则中的重要理论,在中西方情境中存在着许多差异.对B&L的“面子观”和Leech的“礼貌原则”进行探讨,再结合中国的礼貌现象进行对比研究,从而提出面子维护方略,使交际顺利进行.本文主要从文化等方面来探究中西方的面子差异及其面子的维护方略.以引起人们对此问题的注意,减少由面子引起的文化冲突.
