　　In1982Mahadaheartattackandwasdiagnosedwithheartfailure.DuringtheweeksshewasinICU(监护病房),thehospitaldidnotallowchildrentovisit.Mabecameveryupsetandrefusedtoeatuntilshewasallowedtoseehersixteengreat­grandchildren.

　　Weallhadreceivedbiblesfromherasbabieswhichwerefilledwithclippings(剪报)ofjokesandstories.WhenwesawMa,shegaveusall$5.Withthehelpofourparentswebought16newbiblesforhertosignandfillwithherclippings.Noneexpectedhertobeabletosignthemallbeforeshepassedaway.Butweallunderestimatedhercourageandstrengthwhenshewasreleasedfromher“deathbed”togohomeandbeganhertaskoflove.Duringherlastmonthshesignedallthebiblesandgavethemtousfilledwithclippingsandhandwrittenpoems.
